9 Day Umbria Treasures Tour - Perugia, Assisi, Florence, Rome
Day 1 – Overnight flight
Day 2 – Perugia (3 nights)
Benvenuto in Italia! Welcome to Italy, a land rich in history, culture, cuisine, art and romance. You will arrive at Rome Fiumicino airport where your tour guide will greet you and you will travel to your destination, the hilltop town of Perugia, Italy, a city that can trace its roots to the ancient Etruscan period.
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Perugia and dinner with specialties of Perugia.

Day 3 – Torgiano
We travel to the vineyards of Lungarotti where we will take a guided tour of the wine producing process learned generations ago on a family owned vineyard.
We will also experience a wine tasting with lunch at the vineyard.

Day 4 - Assisi
We will travel the short distance to the enchanting town of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi. We take a guided tour of the Gothic Basilica of St. Francis completed in 1253. We explore the upper and lower churches and marvel at the medieval frescos depicting the life of St. Francis before descending to the marble crypt below. Upon return enjoy some free time in Perugia before dinner.

Day 5 - Florence (3 nights)
Welcome to Florence! It is the birthplace of the Renaissance. We will begin our visit with a guided walking tour of the historic center of Florence’s treasures and monuments. After a quick lunch of authentic Florentine panini sandwiches we will take a private tour of a leather showroom where you can be personally fitted with luxurious leather jackets, coats and bags. Free time to enjoy the sights and shopping of Florence.

Day 6 - Florence
We will visit the Cathedral of the city, which dominates the skyline of Florence, Santa Maria del Fiore known as the Duomo. The dome atop the architecturally Renaissance designed masterpiece is still the largest brick and mortar dome in the world. We will take a private tour of a Florentine gold showroom on the Ponte Vecchio.

Day 7 - Florence
We will visit a yarn shop, explore the city, visit shops, have lunch. Option for free mid-day or visit to Michaelangelo’s David.

Day 8 - Rome (1 night)
Welcome to Rome! We will go into Rome center and visit magnificent churches, piazza Navona and a yarn store before dinner by the Pantheon.
